She stole a bow and quiver and tried her hand at hunting. When she was about 6 years old she wanted to go out into the forests and try to be like the legends of Meilikki she heard so much about. As an adopted mother, the firbolg taught her the ways of Meilikki and told her to value the forests and the creatures that reside there. She was raised in the temple by a firbolg named Maebh. But the forest she was in was close to The Temple of Mielikki and one of the worshippers found her and took her in. Presumably stolen and forgotten by bandits. Overall I'm quite happy how it turned out and it'll be a nice addition to my D&D character model collection (will try and get a group shot with the others at some point). I tried successive contrast washes on the edges of the flame and some osl on the arm and side of the head. Painting-wise the cape went through a bunch of colours before settling on purple with some mucky robes underneath. The model itself was based on a WOTC Kenku creature model I bought off ebay a while ago with a few additions including a flaming torch (spare Flagellant flame on a thick piece of brass rod), goggles (greenstuff cast space marine scout goggles) and a dagger/short sword (necromunda escher stilleto knife). Had alot of fun playing a character who was limited in their ability to communicate conventially, instead relying on mimicking her party members in order to get ideas across. That was until she ran into the two strangers that would become her erstwhile compatriots. She spent a fair amount of the session climbing up buildings to case the local market for things to steal and did so without too much trouble.
